Welcome to the new Barazia Gjinore website! Barazia Gjinore, formally known as Gender and Equality, or G.A.D., now has a new name and look! The Barazia Gjinore group is a Peace Corps committee and is recognized as a movement world wide to develop gender equality in developing countries.

This group in Albania began in 2005 and has been active in Albania ever since. We are rebuilding our resources so that we can have materials for Peace Corps Volunteers and Albanians alike to help create an awareness of what gender roles and gender equality mean for Albania. Check out our website and Facebook for more information, resources and meet the current members of the Barazia Gjinore committee. Barazia Gjinore is here for you! Contact us with project ideas, partnerships and support!

Download lesson plans, other Peace Corps countries gender equality manuals, articles, videos and more in our Resource center!

Barazia Gjinore has a Youtube series called “Gender Role Shorts.” We’ve traveled through Albania and interviewed men, women, boys and girls about what they think about gender roles in Albania. Check it out on Youtube, there will be a new one every two to three weeks!
